Clarissa Moore
I am the eighth child in a family of ten children, and the seventh chick of the six chicks writing. I would be a fast typer if I didn’t keep tapping the Backspace key. I’m an escapist. Reading and watching movies are two very refreshing pastimes for me. Although I am very picky about the kinds of books I like to read, my tastes go all over the place. It’s not uncommon for me to pick up a book and finish it in that same day, because I need to get it out of my hands and into my system so I can keep eating and sleeping normally again (until I start the next book). Currently I am addicted to Manga (Japanese comics). This is a problem, because there are never-ending supplies of them online. However, I joined this writing group to make myself create rather than just consume.
I think I started writing because I wanted to create new worlds and characters like the authors I admire. That and a lot of the characters, plot lines, and endings just drive me crazy! No! Stick up for yourself! Don’t play into the hands of those bullies! Why isn’t there some adventure going on, and not just romance? So I try to write it my own way. Countless stories have been started out of protest. The more I try to write, the more respect I have for authors-- even the ones who wrote garbage. It is so, so hard to write something good from start to finish, and to edit, revise... ugh.
